Over the past five years, industry has contributed more than 38 percent of economic growth in Huaxi district.
Huaxi has built an industrial framework centered around two pillars: electronic information as its leading sector and eco-friendly specialty food as its featured sector.
Guizhou Davos Optoelectronics Co commissioned the world's first quasi-generation 7 intelligent touchscreen production line and drew related suppliers to the area, delivering an average annual industrial growth rate of 12.6 percent.
An eco-friendly specialty food industrial base was set up in Qingyan town. Huaxi Beef Rice Noodles won a national product innovation award. Meanwhile, Guizhou's largest surface treatment industrial park came into operation at Yanlou Industrial Park, supported by complementary circular economy initiatives.
Work has started on a new manufacturing base for Taibang Biological Products. The firm's self-developed fourth-generation intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) was launched commercially in 2024.
Huaxi added 30 industrial enterprises above designated size, 20 provincial-level specialized and sophisticated small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and two national green factories.
A total of 4,928 local market entities secured bank credit of more than 4.5 billion yuan.
Guizhou Huaxi Economic Development Zone obtained official approval in December 2024. Later in 2025, both the Shiban and Mengguan industrial parks recorded operating revenue exceeding 100 billion yuan.
Moving forward, Huaxi will extend its electronic information industrial chains and further develop its specialty food and biopharmaceutical industrial clusters.
