Artists took the stage at the Guiyang Roadside Concert to share music and dance with local audiences during the western leg of the inaugural China Xinjiang Folk Art Season tour, which opened on May 1 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
Until May 6, the tour featured 10 events – including performances, flash mobs, and art salons – at such sites as Huaxi Park and Longjing village.

Wang Fangru, a tourist from Hebei province, shared that it was his third time attending the Guiyang Roadside Concert: "I really enjoy this format. Every time, I feel the warmth of the Guizhou people, and this time I also got to experience the charm of Xinjiang music and dance. It's been a wonderful experience."
Tour director Xu Ziying noted that alternating performances from different regions foster greater cultural exchanges and folk art integration.
Yang Jie, director of the Guiyang Roadside Concert, described the event as a celebration of cultural diversity and unity, highlighting the vibrant spirit of Guizhou, the unique beauty of Xinjiang, and the harmony among China's ethnic groups.
