Huaxi tourism revenue exceeds 967m yuan during Spring Festival

During the Spring Festival holiday, Huaxi district received a total of 1.37 million tourists, a year-on-year increase of 11.29 percent. The tourism revenue reached 967.83 million yuan ($133.21 million), a year-on-year increase of 13.11 percent. Road trips, parent-child tours, and family tours proved especially popular.

Huaxi district focused on the five themes of "folk customs, humanity, fireworks, ice and snow, and shopping" and continues to strengthen the three-level linkage of "district, township, and village", promoted the linkage of departments, enterprises, and tourists, organized cultural and tourism activities in various forms, and created a lively atmosphere of Spring Festival.

Huaxi Yunding Ski Resort established a series of activities and themed products adhering to the "skiing + accommodation + hot pot + ethnic cultural experience" model, creating a new form of travel in Guiyang and attracting many tourists to experience the fun of ice and snow. The resort received 5,184 visitors with a ticket revenue of 1.54 million yuan during the holiday.

Scenic spots in Huaxi district launched fireworks shows and night markets to provide tourists with a variety of nighttime entertainment options. From 4 pm to 10 pm during the Spring Festival, Qingyan Ancient Town received 96,500 tourists and achieved a tourism revenue of 14.76million yuan. The Tianhe Lake Scenic Area received 47,400 tourists and generated tourism revenue of 1.84 million yuan. Shizi Street received 205,000 tourists and reached a tourism revenue of 20.95 million yuan.

Nighttime tourism extended the stay time of tourists and drove consumption growth in catering, accommodation, and shopping, making it an important growth driver for the tourism economy over the Spring Festival holiday.
