During the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, Huaxi district received 952,800 visitors, a year-on-year increase of 12.95 percent, and achieved total tourism revenue of 568 million yuan ($77.53 million), up 18.84 percent – both key indicators reflecting double-digit growth.
Qingyan Ancient Town received 115,600 visitors, generating 17.77 million yuan in revenue over the three-day period and maintaining its lead in the local tourism market. Tianhetan Scenic Area welcomed 28,400 visitors and earned 1.11 million yuan, while Huaxi Wetland Park, known as the city's green lung, attracted 121,200 visitors and recorded 211,000 yuan in revenue.
This strong holiday performance was driven by continued sunny weather and a series of "Spring Tour Season" promotional campaigns. Special events like intangible cultural heritage shows, spring markets, farming experiences, and tea-picking tours drew a large number of short-distance visitors from within the province.
A representative of the Huaxi district culture and tourism bureau noted that the district will soon roll out tourism products with distinctive Huaxi characteristics and continue enhancing service quality in preparation for the upcoming May Day holiday rush.
