Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is offering visitors a unique flower-viewing experience this season by highlighting its diverse landscapes and rich cultural heritage as well as holding immersive activities.
The district seamlessly integrates its natural scenery – including mountains, rivers, wetlands, canyons, waterfalls, and karst caves – with vibrant floral displays. Scenic spots such as Gaopo Yunding Scenic Area, Shili Hetan Scenic Area, and Tianhetan Scenic Area provide a stunning backdrop where flowers bloom in harmony with the landscape.
In addition to its natural beauty, Qingyan Ancient Town, one of Guizhou's four renowned ancient towns, brings a cultural dimension to the season. With a history spanning over 600 years, the town blends Han, Miao, and Bouyei influences. Visitors have the chance to take part in ethnic festivals, explore traditional handicrafts, and delve into historical, military, architectural, and religious heritage.
Huaxi is also utilizing its "Six Cool" tourism concept to enhance the "flower economy", integrating cultural and outdoor activities to create a vibrant tourism experience. This season, visitors will be able to enjoy exhibitions, rock climbing, cave exploration, off-road adventures, hiking, concerts, food festivals, and hands-on cultural experiences.
