Huaxi district promotes high-quality development

Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is accelerating its high-quality development in various industries.

The district's major projects fully resumed work one week after the Spring Festival holiday, making every effort to achieve a strong start.

In early March, Huaxi district released 47 livelihood matters for 2025, covering 10 major categories such as education, employment, healthcare, transportation, and culture, to ensure people's well-being.

Huaxi will build a matchmaking platform to promote the transformation of agricultural, scientific, and technological achievements, and cultivate a cluster of food industries, injecting new momentum into the district's high-quality economic development.

In 2024, Huaxi district's GDP reached 98.09 billion yuan ($13.46 billion), ranking fourth in the province and third in the city, with a year-on-year growth rate of 6.2 percent. The general public budget revenue increased by 5.9 percent year-on-year, ranking among the top in Guiyang. The per capita disposable income of urban and rural permanent residents increased by 5.1 percent and 7.1 percent, respectively, ranking first and third in the city.

Huaxi district will promote the "Strengthening Provincial Capital" campaign, accelerate the construction of a modern industrial system with Huaxi characteristics, deepen reform and opening-up, and contribute to the construction of Guiyang and Gui'an New Area's southern center.
