The Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China, under the Ministry of Science and Technology, recently released its 2024 National Innovative Cities Innovation Capability Evaluation Report. According to the report, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, ranks 27th nationwide in its innovation capability index and the top 100 cities list for national urban innovation capability.

In recent years, Guiyang has prioritized the "Strengthening Provincial Capital" campaign and implemented in-depth reforms in its science and technology systems. This focus has led to the development of core technologies with independent intellectual property rights and the growth of innovative businesses.
