Huaxi camping base earns prestigious 4C status

The fourth batch of national quality ratings for personal recreational vehicle (RV) campsites were recently announced, identifying 25 units that meet national 5C and 4C standards for personal RV campsites. The Gaopo Raorao Scenic Area Camping Base in Huaxi district, Guiyang, was rated at the 4C-level.

Gaopo Raorao Scenic Area Camping Base, located next to the Hongyan Gorge Scenic Area in Huaxi district, is a key core area of the Gaopo Raorao Scenic Area, covering an area of approximately 40 mu (2.67 hectares). It is about 48 kilometers from downtown Guiyang, making it a popular destination for weekend trips, family outings, and vacations for residents of Guiyang and surrounding cities and counties.

The camping base features a typical karst landscape and is surrounded by mountains, isolating it from the noise and bustle of the city and its surroundings. It is an excellent spot for viewing sunrises, sunsets, and starry skies. Due to its unique geographical location and environment, visitors to the Gaopo Raorao Camping Base can witness stunning natural phenomena such as fiery clouds, seas of clouds, crepuscular rays, and the Venus Belt. The campsite has well-developed infrastructure and is a comprehensive recreational area that offers camping, nature exploration, sightseeing, leisure activities, family-friendly activities, and photography events.
