Huaxi receives 1.66m visits during May Day holiday

During the just-concluded May Day holiday, Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 1.66 million visits, ranking first in the city.

Huaxi Wetland Park received 337,300 visitors, Qingyan Ancient Town received 274,800 visits, and Tianhetan Tourist Resort received 168,600 visits. Qingyan Ancient Town was even selected as one of the nation's most popular ancient villages and towns, according to Mafengwo, a Chinese online travel platform.

During this period, Huaxi held over 220 activities, including five-day accordion concerts, Shankaka art fairs, disco parties and fireworks shows. In addition, rural tourism proved quite popular. Various activities, including a life festival in Gaopo township, campfire parties, and Bouyei ethnic activities, gave visitors a worthwhile experience.
