In recent years, Wushan village in Jiuan township, Huaxi district, Guiyang, has been developing through the recycling of rural renewable resources.

The village leadership initially applied to the Huaxi agriculture and rural affairs bureau for 700,000 yuan ($96,880) in funding for rural vitalization. They intended to utilize the recycling center for renewable resources as a way to develop and strengthen the collective economy of the village, increase incomes for residents, and contribute to rural vitalization.

The efforts have received widespread support from the local community, with many residents packing up some of their old items and bringing them in for recycling, which not only increases their incomes but also beautifies the local environment.

Zeng Wei, the head of Wushan village, said that it is estimated that the project will bring in about 100,000 yuan in annual income to the village collective.

Following the model's success in Wushan village, the other six villages in Jiuan township are planning to use similar methods to drive development.
