Huaxi celebrates Bouyei ethnic festival

Maling village in Huaxi district launched an array of activities to celebrate the sixth day of the sixth month on the Chinese lunar calendar, which is an important traditional festival for the Bouyei people and fell on July 23 this year.

A number of Bouyei people dressed in ethnic costumes participated in the grand celebration, which featured local ethnic culture, such as folk song performances "Bouyei people celebrate harvest" and "Haohuahong", as well as ethnic dance performances.

In addition, the village also promoted local agricultural products, which proved popular among visitors.
