Qingyan Ancient Town in Huaxi district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province resumed operations on Nov 1.

Qingyan Ancient Town was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and has preserved a large number of ancient buildings from the Ming and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. Together with Zhenyuan, Bing'an, and Longli ancient towns, it is known as one of the four ancient towns in Guizhou, and is the only 5A-level tourist site in Guiyang.

It operates from 8:30 am to 5 pm every day, and the daily reception of tourists is limited to no more than 70 percent of the maximum daily carrying capacity of 45,000 people.

Due to epidemic prevention and control requirements, currently only four entrances and exits - the north gate, south gate, west gate and little north gate - are open to tourists.

Tourists must make a real-name reservation and purchase tickets on the "One Ma Tour" online platform one day in advance.

Meanwhile, the scenic spot requires all tourists to wear a mask and present a Guizhou Health Code, Itinerary Code and 72-hour negative nucleic acid test certificate when entering.

All tourists must cooperate with scenic spot staff members to have their temperature taken and register their information as well.

Additionally, from now until Dec 31, the scenic spot is offering free admission for medical workers and policemen across the country, as long as they have valid documents.

Medical aid teams and police officers who provided aid to Guizhou during the most recent COVID-19 outbreak can bring two guests for lifetime free admission to the scenic spot.
