Stone-made dwellings wind their way up a mountain road in Zhenshan village. The village in Huaxi district, about 25 kilometers away from downtown Guiyang, is a settlement of the Bouyei ethnic group. It is located on a peninsula in the middle section of the Huaxi Reservoir and is surrounded by water on three sides, and covered by trees. All structures in the ancient village, including walls built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and residential houses, are made of stone, creating a unique architectural style. [Photo/Guizhou Daily]
