The Huaxi district of Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is busy ramping up the construction of multiple projects – having broken ground at 67 new projects with an investment of 10.36 billion yuan ($1.63 billion) in the first quarter of 2022.

Of those in the district, there are 15 new-type industrialization projects with investment of 3.65 billion yuan, 26 new-type urbanization projects costing 3.14 billion yuan, six tourism industrialization projects with an investment of 1.96 billion yuan and 20 agricultural modernization projects costing 1.61 billion yuan.

In recent years, Huaxi has promoted its new-type industrialization, focusing on the construction, development and management of industrial parks.

The district has developed industries for biotechnology, mid-to-high-end consumer goods manufacturing, electronics information manufacturing and new building materials. It has accelerated the production of key projects and helped businesses in industrial parks to resume work and production smoothly, in the wake of the novel coronavirus outbreak.

One prime example of Huaxi's efforts to facilitate the introduction of projects is a surface treatment industrial park with an investment of 1 billion yuan. The park focuses on electronics information manufacturing, while satisfying the development needs of the aviation and aerospace, as well as the auto parts industries.

"Huaxi is focusing on the Huaxi Surface Treatment Industrial Park and the Davos Photoelectric Industrial Park, and is promoting their industrially intensive, refined and green development," said Wen Youjie, deputy director of the comprehensive coordination service department of the Huaxi Park Construction Service Center.

Moving forwards, Huaxi plans to achieve industrial output value of more than 28 billion yuan and an industrial added value proportion of over 30 percent to gross domestic product by 2025.

It is expected to do so by boosting industries, including electronics information manufacturing and ecological food processing.
