The Yunding Ski Resort in Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently bustling with skiers.
Over the Spring Festival holiday from Jan 31 to Feb 6, the ski resort received 15,000 visits.
"The recent cold weather in Guiyang is very conducive to artificial snow making, and the number of tourists is increasing. With the Winter Olympics, the upsurge in winter sports continues to pick up steam," said Duan Chao, general manager of Guiyang Yunding Ski Resort.
Yunding Ski Resort, the only outdoor ski resort in Guiyang, has opened a snow trail that allows more than 1,500 people to ski at the same time and built a snow entertainment area equipped with snow bumper cars, snow tanks, and snow motorcycles.
It has a team of more than 60 experienced professional coaches and 20 ski rescuers, allowing tourists to enjoy a comfortable and safe skiing experience.
