A pedestrian strolls through a silent street in Qingyan ancient town – in Huaxi district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – on a snowy day. Huaxi recently welcomed its first winter snow of the year and transformed over night into a fantasy world. Built in the Ming dynasty (1368-1644), Qingyan ancient town is a place where eastern and western cultures – Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism, Christianity and Catholicism – meet.
