Guizhou intl photography exhibition kicks off

The Colorful Guizhou 14th PhotoChina Original International Photography Exhibition, which was co-held by the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee's publicity department, China News Service and the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, kicked off on July 26.

The exhibition will solicit photographs from all over the world, hold themed exhibitions, organize original culture art activities and talk shows to showcase Guizhou's natural environment.

At the opening ceremony of this year's exhibition, which was held in Guiyang's Qingyan Ancient Town, domestic and international photographers from all ages took an oath to make photography a habit to promote history.

The opening ceremony also announced the opening of a resource library of original cultural images.

The exhibition was first held in 2008 and is the world's only cultural event that focuses on intangible culture through images. Since 2011, the exhibition has collected more than 100,000 photographs from around the world and held themed exhibitions in more than 20 countries and regions, such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Russia.
