Huaxi launches summer season

The Huaxi summer season kicked off in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 9 and will last four months.

The season is meant to give tourists enough time to experience the colorful and romantic atmosphere of Huaxi during their travels, and to appreciate the beautiful natural scenery, rich cultural attractions, and strong ethnic customs of Huaxi.

At the launch ceremony, more than 100 summer tourism activities were announced, including a youth go tournament, outdoor and mountain events, and a motorcycle road challenge.

The public can learn more about the event by following the public WeChat accounts of Huaxi Cultural Tourism (花溪文旅) and Huaxi Tourism (花溪旅游).

Some activities of the Huaxi summer season:

Chinese rose flower show

From July 1 to 20, a Chinese rose flower show is being held at the Huaxi Park in the district, which includes a flower market, food gallery, interactive events, intangible cultural heritage items, and exhibition activities.

Retake the Long March event

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China in mid-July, the launch ceremony of the "Retake the Long March" in Guiyang will be held to review the glorious history of the Party.

Banqiao Art Village

From July to October, lectures, music festivals, intangible cultural heritage immersive experience activities, red classics and accordion film concerts, art performances, and public welfare art training will be held in Banqiao Art Village.

Qingyan Ancient Town

A series of activities featuring a Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) style will be held in Qingyan Ancient Town from July to October.

Longjing village

The Huaxi ethnic customs festival will be launched on July 15, as will the Liuyueliu festival (the sixth day of the sixth month on the Chinese Lunar Calendar) of the Bouyei ethnic group. The activity will last until October

Tianhetan Scenic Spot

This scenic spot will provide activities such as children's entertainment experiences and interactive family experiences.
