Intangible cultural heritage living museum opens in Huaxi

The Xiuhuaxi Intangible Cultural Heritage Living Museum opened to the public on June 12 in Banqiao art village in Huaxi district, Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

Covering an area of 500 square meters, the living museum is a maker base for cultural and creative industries that integrates design, production, packaging, sales, experiences and services, focusing on cultural and creative product development and sales, research course experience, and the intangible cultural heritage market.

At the opening ceremony, there was also a special training session on the theme of intangible cultural heritage. The national-level intangible cultural heritage inheritor of Miao embroidery, Wang Qiping, served as the main instructor and taught about the Huaxi Miao embroidery culture.

Many tourists were attracted to view the colorful Miao embroidery, the cultural and creative products of the living museum, the carvings at the intangible cultural heritage market, and the production of Gaopo bamboo weavings.

Various activities at the event fully demonstrated the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage and stimulate people's enthusiasm for learning traditional skills.

Also, cultural promotion and performances at the event have further enhanced the public's awareness of intangible cultural heritage protection and created a good social atmosphere for intangible cultural heritage protection.
