Huaxi launches first yellow peach picking festival

Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province launched its yellow peach regional public brand – Huaxiaotao – and its first yellow peach picking festival on June 12.

The launch ceremony was held at Guozhiran Agricultural Park in Gumeng village, Yanlou town, Huaxi district.

The Yellow peach is a high-yield fruit, a favorite among the people, and a strong seller.

In 2018 and 2019, Huaxi introduced new yellow peach varieties from Jiangsu and Hunan provinces, and tried planting them in Qingyan, Yanlou, and Jinzhu towns.

In the process of developing its yellow peach industry, Huaxi also visited Xinjiang, Zhejiang, Yunnan, and other places for on-site investigations, invited many agricultural experts to conduct field investigations, and introduced high-end varieties combined with Huaxi's climate and land resources.

Yellow peaches are very adaptable, mature early, have a high yield, are large in size, do not crack, are easy on the eyes, are high in quality, and their benefits have been recognized by growers. Their plump shape and fragrant, crisp, and sweet taste also make them popular among consumers.

After the promotion of the yellow peach brand, growers will use the Huaxi yellow peach public brand "Huaxiaotao" as a unified brand for packaging, sales, quality, and management and work to build it into the district's leading agricultural product.

Huaxi yellow peaches are maturing gradually and picking can continue until September this year.
