On May 24, Huaxi district in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine held a symposium featuring in-depth exchanges on school-government and school-enterprise cooperation.
At the symposium, Huaxi district introduced its economic and social development in recent years and future development ideas, while Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine introduced its school profile and social services.
The district and university exchanged views on deepening cooperation in multiple fields and helping local economic and social development. The two sides were able to reach relevant consensus.
Yang Zhu, secretary of the Party committee of Guizhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, said that the university will give full play to its own scientific research, talent and platform advantages to establish a school-government and school-enterprise liaison mechanism with Huaxi district. The school will also strengthen personnel training and promote the local transformation of scientific research results.
It will provide strong support in scientific and technological innovation, rural revitalization and the medical and healthcare sectors to promote the high-quality development of Huaxi district, Yang added.
Li Rui, Party secretary of Huaxi district, stressed that the district will support local enterprises to jointly establish industry-college-institute bases with colleges and universities to promote the development of the biomedical and health industries.
