Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will focus on developing the digital economy, deepen the integration of big data and the real economy, promote the development of big data application scenarios, strengthen the open sharing of government data, and aid in the development of smart cities.
In 2020, Huaxi carried out big data work and made continuous achievements in the layout of its digital economy, the integration of big data and the real economy, and the open sharing of data.
Through space creation, base construction, and platform construction, the district has managed to attract more enterprises and develop industrial clusters, providing support for the development of the digital economy.
The district has also increased investment in special funds for big data and established an industrial investment and operation platform company to provide solid financial guarantees, space support, and hardware support for the development of the big data industry.

With Xiyun Town at its core, Huaxi aims to build a big data cultural tourism industry integration ecosystem that integrates an industrial innovation exhibition center, a Huaxi investment promotion center, an enterprise growth center, and an enterprise gathering and exchange platform.
As of December 2020, more than 200 enterprises were operating in Xiyun Town, and the total output value of the town exceeded 200 million yuan ($31.32 million).
In addition, Huaxi has been focusing on the internal and external efficiency of data resources. It has completed the construction of 1,244 5G network base stations and the sorting of 99 government service system data sharing catalogs in 25 district-level departments.
