Huaxi political advisory body holds annual session

The fifth session of the 10th Huaxi district committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened on March 1 in Huaxi district, Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The three-day conference's opening ceremony was attended by 167 CPPCC Huaxi district committee members, including Song Li, chairman of the CPPCC Huaxi district committee.

Song delivered the CPPCC Huaxi district's work report, reviewing the committee's and CPPCC Huaxi district committee members' efforts and achievements in 2020 and setting out the work plan for 2021. 

He said that in 2021, the committee would continue to play a positive role as a specialized political advisory body and contribute to implementing the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-25) for Huaxi.

Peng Zhiwei, the vice-chairman of the CPPC Huaxi district committee, reported on the handling of 72 proposals submitted by CPPCC Huaxi district committee members over the past year.
