A delegation from the Guiyang Bureau of Sports and Guizhou Center for Disease Control and Prevention visited Yunding ski resort on Jan 14 to conduct a safety inspection.
The ski resort is located in Huaxi district in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The delegation visited the ski slopes and reception halls and viewed relevant materials. They also held a meeting to learn about the resort's business license and employee qualifications, the resort's safety facilities, ambulance facilities, safety management system and its implementation of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control measures.
Sports departments from the provincial, municipal and district levels all take responsibility for ensuring the resort's safe operations.
Yunding ski resort is the only outdoor ski resort in Guiyang and covers an area of 480 mu (32 hectares), with a maximum elevation of 1,560 meters.
The resort has two primary ski trails that stretch approximately 260 meters each and two intermediate trails that are roughly 300 meters in length. Each year, the resort receives tens of thousands of skiers, playing a significant role in promoting skiing in Guiyang.
