Tianhetan Scenic Spot recognized for its sports activities

Tianhetan Scenic Spot in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, was recently rated as Guizhou sports special town, according to Guizhou Provincial Bureau of Sports.

As a national 4A-level tourist attraction, Tianhetan Scenic Spot is dominated by karst natural scenery, whose attractions are being supplemented by other activities including outdoor and sometimes extreme sports.

Currently, it offers various sports experience projects such as extreme high-altitude ropeway courses, karst cave exploration. There are also outdoor camping, kite flying and outdoor walking, among other activities.

With the continued development of sports tourism in the scenic area, the sports tourism project has gradually become a major draw for visitors.

Although most tourists still go there to appreciate the natural beauty in a conventional way, it is also increasingly being used by companies as a destination of choice for group team building activities.
