Huaxi branch of Guiyang Art Museum launched

The Huaxi branch of Guiyang Art Museum was officially launched on Nov 26 at Huaxi Art Museum in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

An art, calligraphy and photography exhibition on poverty alleviation in Guiyang also kicked off on the day.

Shi Wenhui, president of Huaxi district literary federation presided over the unveiling ceremony and the opening ceremony for the exhibition.

Ran Maolie, deputy director of the Guiyang Art Museum and Tong Hui, deputy head of Huaxi district people's government, delivered speeches.

After the establishment of the Huaxi branch, Guiyang and Huaxi will strengthen their cooperation, make coordinated use of their resources and actively organize calligraphy and painting exchanges, exhibitions and competitions.

The Huaxi branch of Guiyang Art Museum will also create an important platform for learning, communication, discussion, research and display for art lovers.

It will also help boost the influence of Guiyang Art Museum in the province and city.
