A community service activity was held on Nov 20 in Nanxiyuan community, a relocation site for poverty alleviation in Huaxi district, Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The event kicked off with a digital feature film on the Miao ethnic group.

Li Qun, an intangible cultural heritage inheritor of Miao batik skills, demonstrated her Miao batik techniques and how to do wax paintings.
Shi Wenhui, chairman of the Huaxi district literacy federation, presented his calligraphy works and magazines to the audience.
The 290 households with 1,060 residents of Nanxiyuan community are all relocated folk from the seven townships of Gaopo, Qiantao, Maling, Yanlou, Jiuan, Maiping and Shiban in Huaxi district.
At present, supporting facilities have been built, including a Party service center, cultural and sports activity rooms, libraries, medical offices and daycare centers.
