Qingyan town in Huaxi district ramps up rural revitalization

The green light for the first rural revitalization education course to be established in Qingyan town in Huaxi district of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province,recently passed at the Guizhou Vocational College of Foodstuff Engineering.

The course is being established by the Qingyan town government, Guizhou Vocational College of Foodstuff Engineering and Qingyan Guihuang Middle School.

It will be a full-time secondary vocational school, with a course spanning three years. After the students graduate, the school will issue national certificates and outstanding students will also have the opportunity to continue their studies into higher education.

Zhao Rong, secretary of the Party committee of Qingyan, said the town will work with the college in terms of marketing and developing the course.

Zhao said help from all sectors of society was needed for the modernization of the agricultural sector -- as well as the planning, packaging and output of agricultural products and the development of rural tourism.
