Featuring typical karst natural scenery and areas deemed perfect for health and recuperation, Tianhetan scenic area is one of the most loved scenic spots in Guiyang.
It has a beautiful environment and rich resources for traditional Chinese medicine, including wormwood, root of kudzu vine, buckwheat and purple perilla.
Focusing on the creation of a world-class eco-health tourism destination, Tianhetan scenic area started from supporting hardware and software services to continuously promoting its development and upgrading to become a full-blown health and recuperation tourism destination.
Currently, the new Tianhetan traditional Chinese medicine planting project, which has a planned planting area covering 2,000 mu (133.33 hectares) is progressing well.
The scenic destination will move on later to develop agricultural tourism, research studies, traditional Chinese medicine research and wormwood production.
In addition, coupled with targeted poverty alleviation and industrial poverty alleviation, the scenic area will promote the employment of surrounding villagers in Huaxi district through industry-driven employment, to help rural revitalization.
