Huaxi district in Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, welcomed over 520,000 tourists, generating tourism revenue of nearly 200 million yuan ($28.26 million) on June 25-27 during the Duanwu Festival, also known as the Dragon Boat Festival.

The district received tourists at about 30 percent of its capacity during the festivities and took novel coronavirus disinfection measures in all its scenic areas.
Tourists were required to wear masks and wash their hands after scanning their health codes before entering the scenic areas.
This year, among several key scenic spots, Qingyan Ancient Town played host to 38,940 tourists, Huaxi City Wetland Park welcomed 66,830 tourists and Tianhetan Scenic Area received nearly 10,000 tourists.
