Huaxi Lake Urban Complex project progresses smoothly

At present, the construction of the Huaxi Lake Urban Complex project is well underway and good progress is underway, according to local officials who added that the excavation of the lake is advancing smoothly and it is expected to be filled in with water in the first half of the year.

The project is located on Tianyuan Road in Huaxi district in Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

With a total investment 11.4 billion yuan ($1.61 billion), the project covers an area of about 160 hectares and a total construction area of about 295,800 square meters. The developers are  mainly building hotels, commercial buildings, underground parking and support facilities.

Local officials said Huaxi district will strive to ensure that the development forms a central ecological corridor connecting the natural scenery of the district with historical intangible culture – as well as a cultural tourism destination integrating eco-tourism, intangible cultural displays, science education and leisure.

They added that project will become a unique and vibrant new calling card for Huaxi and even for Guiyang.
