Huaxi district signs four projects worth 1.93b yuan

Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, signed four key projects worth 1.93 billion yuan ($277.1 million) on Feb 28, according to local officials.

They said the projects were the new Guizhou Taibang biotechnology park, the Guizhou resource recycling and vein industry park, the Huaxi southwest stone Seiko craft production base and a Huaxi boutique vocational homestay.

Officials said that Guizhou Taibang Biological Products Co is a national designated blood product manufacturing enterprise and a key backbone enterprise in Huaxi district. Its products, such as human albumin and human immunoglobulin for intravenous injections, are of great significance for the treatment of critically ill patients.

As a leading company in the pillar industry of biotechnology, the enterprise is investing 1.2 billion yuan to build the Taibang biotechnology park project in Huaxi district. After the project is completed and put into production, the annual output value will not be less than 10 billion yuan.

Officials said that due to the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, Huaxi district has organized its real economy investment through online and offline methods, while ensuring the epidemic prevention and control.
